The bus is leaving and you have too much baggage, bag lady. It will definitely leave you…and your baggage. When dating, try to pack things lightly-just in case you need to dip. This is very similar to the phrase “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket…” but that could be read as pretty suggestive. Point is, no one likes a partner with too much baggage from the past. Now, I’m not saying “never give any man a chance,” but c’mon…you can gauge how to pack. If you see red flags from the jump, pack some necessities in your purse. If HE’S packing for a weekend, pack a cute little carryon. And if he wants to go on a nice 10-day trip…ALSO pack a carry on. Never pack the big luggage until you see something worth packing for. Packing all that shit is WORK. And so is building a relationship intertwined with emotions and feelings greatly deeper than this analogy.
So you can do one of two things: 1. Pack your bags light-always, or 2. Get in too deep; fall in love-but let some of those Gucci and Prada duffle bags go after the fact. I know it’s hard. We love Prada. We love Gucci. We love Louie. But sometimes…you just have to let go.
Therefore, take everything. Panties, conditioner, bras, lighters, lotion, body wash, perfume, and DO NOT FORGET THE TOOTHBRUSH. The toothbrush scares them…a lot.
With that said, do not give him a reason to think about you by leaving something there. This will verify him actually thinking about you without any material reminders in his bed, shower, couch, bathroom, or kitchen…(if you’re real freaky).
